Media

To do my stop motion animation, I choose plasticine. This is because it is easyer to work with it and I am good at working with it. Other materials I considered before choosing plasticine were paper and clay. Lastly, I think tyhe greatest chellenge of working with plasticine will be to do a plant with it, since it is a big object.

William Kentridge

To begin with, Kentridge's work makes me feel sad. This is because in his drawings he shows people that are sick or in pain.

To a person that is blind, I would describe it as detailed charcoal drawings that show people suffering and in pain. Also, I would consider it as very high quality work, since it is easy to identify the meaning of the drawings. Furthermore, I would include the fact that it is black and white, kind of blurry and detailed.

My guess is that he draws something and then changes it into whatever he wants is to look like after. Lastly, I admire him for his ability to do such high quality stop-motion work.

Earth Day

I think the most serious enviromental issue is the rainforest destruction.
This is because at the pace that our rainforests are being destroyed, all of them will be lost in 50 years! Not only that, but it is estimated that 137 species of animals are wiped out every day.

Frthermore, almost 70% of modern medicines com from rainforests, since most plants have anticancer properties. Scientists think that they have only discovered about 1% of the possible cures for cancer and other bad diseases that can be found in rainforests.

At the same time, we are affecting our water resources. Since all rainforests act as huge water pumps that balance water availability. They will help prevent floding and erosion during the rainy season, that will then keep the large rivers from running out of water during the dry.

Finally, I believe rainforests are the most important part of our planet.

Rotoball

After watching last year's videos, I came up with some really cool ideas about my Rotoball project. After thinnking about what the final outcome is going to look like, I decided that first, my ball would turn into Emma. Second, Emma and I, are going to go to the forest, where we will find a frog. After going through various scenes trying to catch it, Emma is going to catch it and turn into a frog. Lastly, I am going to grab them both and throw them to the right.
